Thank you for your wonderful work, Donna.  I enjoyed the writing prompt. What a simple but profound idea to think about what I would have wanted as a teen and what my children might be looking for from me now. Hard not to beat myself up, but trying to make positive changes now. I try to give myself a few minutes after writing before jumping back into things. I have a playlist I listen to and keep a lemon-scented candle nearby. If I can steal away for longer I'll go for a walk or try yoga :)

When I feel overwhelmed by big feelings and worries, I bring in a breath practice to help me get back into my body. I breathe into the count of 4, hold my breath to the count of 7, and let out a long exhale to the count of 8. Doing this three times helps me to settle my nervous system. What helps you?
